    К   Among the smallest jet aircraft developed with third-level airline К
    К   operations in view, the Corvette was also marketed as an executive К
    К   jet, and was evolved especially to meet North American             К
    К   requirements.  It originated shortly before the Sud-Nord merger    К
    К   into Aerospatiale. The prototype flew on July 16, 1970 but was     К
    К   lost during flight development.  The first full production         К
    К   standard aircraft flew on November 9, 1973, and French             К
    К   certification was achieved on May 28, 1974.                        К
    К                                                                      К
    К   Air Alps a French local service airline, had two in service by     К
    К   September 1974, one of these being in full Air France livery for   К
    К   operation on the Lyons-Brussels route as depicted in this model.   К
    К                                                                      К
    К   The Corvette 100, as the initial production version, had a crew of К
    К   two and up to 12 individual passenger seats in two rows, and could К
    К   be fitted with wing tanks to extend range.                         К
    К                                                                      К
    К   The Corvette proved to be a little too small for the market it was К
    К   designed to fulfill.  Production ended in 1977 at a total of 40.   К
    К   Several Corvettes were in service in Europe and North Africa in    К
    К   the early 80's for scheduled airline operation, others being used  К
    К   for air taxi, charter and business flying.                         К
